Marlborough United

In 2023 the MCC formed the Marlborough United for Crime & Violence Prevention task force, modeled after Omaha360 and KC360 approaches to violent crime reduction. Prior to that we had a Task Force focused on sharing actions residents could take, for example, lock packages in your trunk, and turn on lights at night.

Marlborough United goes a step farther than that, looking at the root causes of crime in the area by gathering information from residents and others in the area, and then working with them to form and implement solutions.

OUR MISSION IS TO:

Prevent violent incidents from happening. We know there is violence in our community. We hope to bring that amount of violence down significantly and bring the community together.

Teach life skills and conflict resolution to all ages by offering community and school based programs to prevent school delinquency, drop-outs, and the dangers of gangs and street organizations

Intervene and mediate conflicts with trauma informed staff to prevent further violence among groups, families, and school.

Provide services for all parts of the healing journey of survivors.

Aaron Pouncil (AP)

Aaron Pouncil is a Kansas City, Missouri native whose lived experiences have shaped his passion for violence prevention and community outreach. After overcoming the challenges of a lifestyle that ultimately led to federal incarceration, Aaron made a commitment to change and dedicate his life to giving back to the community he once took from. For the past five years, he has worked in violence prevention, using his personal journey to mentor others, change mindsets, and promote peace. Today, Aaron proudly serves as the Violence Prevention Supervisor with Marlborough United, where he is committed to building safer, stronger communities through outreach, intervention, and hope.
